''My coaching philosophy is built around a sustainable, person-centred approach: we are humans first, athletes second, and keeping that perspective is essential for both performance and long-term enjoyment.''
More about Francesca
I grew up in the UK, moving from Norfolk to the Midlands as a teenager. Sport was always a central part of my life, I played hockey to an international level and competed in cross country and endurance track events. I originally went to Loughborough University to study Mathematics while continuing hockey, but a knee injury pushed me out of the sport and into cycling as part of my rehab.
That shift changed everything. I transitioned into a joint honours degree in Maths and Sports Science, took an academic route into endurance performance, and quickly fell in love with cycling. My coaching philosophy is built around a sustainable, person-centred approach: we are humans first, athletes second, and keeping that perspective is essential for both performance and long-term enjoyment.
I now race professionally around the world and combine real-world racing insight with a strong theoretical and scientific foundation in coaching.

Fun fact
I have an unhealthy love for coffee and an equally unhealthy obsession with chasing Strava QOMs. I also have a deep interest in blood-flow restriction (BFR) training and am working toward a PhD in the field.
