"I’m Oli, based out of the south west of the UK, and I’ve ridden bikes all my life. I've always been into the details of training, and that’s why when my 16-year pro career finished, I immediately turned to coaching, and am a qualified British cycling level 2 coach. As a rider, I specialized in cross-country MTB. I represented Britain at three Olympic games and took the national title 17 times in that discipline, but throughout my pro career, I wasn’t just riding flat bars, I also raced internationally at cyclocross and on the road, even taking the win at the British cyclocross national series in 2013. Over my career, I rode with some of the biggest names in cycling."
More about Oli
These days, I’m still based in the south west of the UK and co-own a bike shop in Bristol. Since 2012 I’ve been coaching athletes from the shop, offering bike fittings and also have the ability to offer VO2 fitness testing. I continue to be fascinated by coaching, and how a detailed approach to physical performance really can pay dividends to riders in attaining their goals. I work with riders of all abilities - from people building up to charity rides to others looking to get results at races. In recent years I have combined my racing with a young family and growing business and have experienced the time pressure this brings and need to make sessions count! Anyone with a goal can benefit from specific structured training, whether it is a three month burst to prep for a sportive or a long-term plan to win a Championship.
